Structured and fast-growing banking group, for a new Service in its implementation phase, has entrusted us with the search for a:

Site Reliability Engineer

The figure sought, reporting to the Head of the Service, will play a key role in ensuring the reliability, availability and performance of the Group’s technological infrastructures; he/she will support the Software Engineering team in the implementation and management of applications on the Cloud, transposing new needs from the Architectural Area, designing appropriate methods for implementation and providing the relevant guidelines.

In detail, he/she will be responsible for:

• system reliability: guaranteeing the reliability and availability of the systems through constant monitoring and response to any possible incidents, promoting the continuous improvement of the infrastructure;
• automation: automating the deployment and management of services;
• resource planning: forecasting and optimising resource requirements for all infrastructure systems;
• performance optimisation: analysing performance to improve efficiency, ensuring an optimal user experience;
• incident management support: guiding operational and application teams in the resolution of incidents, analysing their causes and proposing strategic solutions;
• security: contributing to security best practices, vulnerability assessments, cyber threat mitigation.

Requirements:

The person sought is ideally a master’s degree holder in Computer Science or Computer Engineering ( diplomas with compatible experience will also be considered).

He/she has significant experience in Site Reliability Engineer, System Engineer, DevOps or similar roles, in structured and technologically advanced companies.

In-depth knowledge of distributed systems architecture and strong troubleshooting skills are required, in addition to the following technical skills:

– Terraform, Ansible,
– containerisation technologies;
– Kubernetes;
– delivery systems, such as Helm, GitOps;
– cloud providers: GCP, AWS or Azure;
– scripting and programming languages (Bash, Python, Go);
– databases: Oracle DB, MongoDB, PostgresSQL;
– elements of networking.

The profile is completed by excellent skills in terms of working independently, analysis, design; the aptitude to collaborate effectively with team members and cross-functional teams; excellent communication and presentation skills. Different levels of seniority and experience will be considered.
