Quality Director

Our Client is a prestigious international manufacturing company operating in the Energy, Oil & Gas and Industrial Plant Engineering sectors.

On behalf of this organization, we are looking for a:

Quality Director

Reporting directly to the General Manager, he/she will be responsible for leading and continuously developing the company’s Quality Management System, ensuring that products, manufacturing processes and quality standards fully comply with company requirements, customer specifications and industry regulations.

This is a strategic leadership role that will play a key part in the continuous improvement of business processes and in promoting a quality-driven culture across the organization.

The successful candidate will:

• partner closely with senior management to define and implement the company’s Quality strategy.
• ensure full compliance of projects with internal quality standards and customer requirements (EPC Contractors and End Users), supervising all quality-related aspects of project execution.
• lead the Quality Management System, maintaining existing certifications (including ISO 9001, ASME U Stamp, EN 1090 and EN ISO 3834-2) while driving the implementation of additional certifications when required.
• lead, motivate and develop a Quality team of approximately 10 professionals.
• oversee all Quality Control activities to ensure product and manufacturing process compliance.
• actively support the resolution of quality issues whenever required.
• coordinate inspections, testing and FAT activities involving internal resources, customers and third-party inspection bodies.
• drive the continuous improvement of quality processes, methodologies and operating tools.
• work closely with the Procurement Department to qualify, monitor and evaluate suppliers, ensuring compliance with company quality standards and maintaining the approved vendor list.
• collaborate with the HSE team to maintain ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 certifications.
• promote Continuous Improvement projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and process effectiveness.

Requirements:

We are looking for professionals with solid experience in Quality Management gained within manufacturing companies involving mechanical fabrication processes (steel structures, pressure vessels, welding, etc.) or industrial plant engineering companies, preferably operating in the Oil & Gas, Power, Energy or related industries.

A degree in Engineering or a Quality-related technical discipline will be considered an advantage; however, candidates holding a technical diploma combined with significant relevant experience will also be considered.

Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems and certifications such as ISO 9001, ASME U Stamp, EN 1090, EN ISO 3834-2 or equivalent is required, as well as proven experience in certification maintenance, renewal processes.

Fluent English, strong leadership skills and a proactive mindset, with passion for innovation and continuous improvement are also required.

The position involves aborad travels when required.

The company offers:

• Annual gross salary in the range of €75,000–95,000, depending on experience;
