Field Service Engineers – Electrical/Electronic

As part of the Technical Service team, the candidate will be responsible for electronic troubleshooting on CNC machine tools.
In detail, you will carry out
- diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical or electronic problems/failures on CNC machines (lathes, machining centres) with up to 4-5 axes, at customers located in the relevant geographical area;
- reading and interpreting wiring diagrams;
- checking alarms and electrical parameters;
- repair of any faults and replacement of components such as cables, sensors, electronic boards, ..;
- PLC modifications and replacement if necessary;
- machine reset;
- customer support and training if required;
- exploration of any problems/needs for intervention or technical assistance even if not initially reported by the customer.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate has a diploma in the electrical field or equivalent.
He/she has significant experience in diagnosing and solving electrical/electronic problems with CNC chip-removing machines (lathes, machining centres, milling/ boring machines), and related automated production processes, preferably at machine tool manufacturers, importers/retailers, or technical assistance companies.
People with maintenance experience within production companies, interested in service work, will also be evaluated.
In addition to a solid technical background, knowledge and consolidated operating experience on Heidenhain/Siemens controls is appreciated, but profiles with knowledge of other controls (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Fagor, Mazatrol, …) will also be evaluated.
Good customer orientation and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships will be required.
A high predisposition to work autonomously in the field/on the move completes the profile.
