For an important italian multinational company, operating in the manufacturing and plants sector, we are looking for a:

The selected candidate will coordinate a team of buyers and will also be directly involved in procurement activities for complex, project-based plant engineering supplies within the Energy and Oil & Gas market.
The role requires close collaboration with Engineering and Project Management departments to ensure on-time and high-quality purchasing and supply of materials and items.

In particular, it will be requested to:

• Coordinate and supervise a team of buyers, assigned to different projects and/or Business Units;
• Perform supplier scouting: market analysis, participation in industry fairs, and identification of potential new suppliers (Italy, EU, extra-EU, LCC countries);
• Manage, monitor, and expand the existing supplier base;
• Oversee direct purchasing activities related to assigned projects;
• Negotiate and define purchase orders, ensuring compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules;
• Interface with the Expediting Department for all post-order activities;
• Provide regular procurement performance reporting (KPI) to management as required.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Engineering (other technical or relevant degrees/diplomas may be considered based on experience in industrial/engineering environments);
• Proven experience as Buyer or Procurement Coordinator in structured, project-driven organizations within the Energy, Oil & Gas, or Manufacturing sectors;
• Solid background in plant supply companies and/or EPC contractors, with strong knowledge of related procurement processes;
• Excellent command of English (written and spoken);
• Availability for national and international business travels;
• Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills;
• Leadership attitude, team-oriented mindset, and ambition to grow into a managerial role.
